The Economic Stimulus Bill Endangers Our Country

Recently there have been an increasing number of reports concerning scams connected to applications for government grants. There are some reputable companies that charge fees for information on grants, but they are established companies that have been in business for some time. Now there has been increased interest in locating programs, government bureaucrats have started to label them as scams.

The bill the Democrats recently passed has no special Obama stimulus grants in it. This is something that many people fail to understand. There just isn’t any money in that bill for individual people. There are ways for some folks to benefit from it such as get a newly created job or get help with their mortgage but there is nothing where they are going to get cash from the government. If they think they can qualify for a government grant they can apply to one, but those grants won’t be any bigger or easier to get than they always are.

The United States is stuck in a very difficult situation. The economy is continuing to fail and the government continues to increase the deficit as if there are no consequences. Obama was elected because people wanted change, however, most people have no clue the trouble the country is truly in. It is true we are getting change. However, it is not the change people were hoping for.

The only scam most of us see it the US government itself. This stimulus bill is probably the biggest scam the country has ever seen as the government gives away all our tax dollars. Hopefully, people will soon realize this and make it very hard for the politicians to do any more damage.

Unfortunately, so many people just don’t understand how economics works and think the government has an unlimited amount of funding. If we continue down the path we are on, and that seems likely, we may all find out the hard way that spending more money is not the answer to our problems.
